I travel around quite a lot, and I do know that a lot of the places I go to are less well equipped with sanitary systems that we are here in Europe. I always thought that the hepatitis b vaccination was one for life, and that I was safe from hep b. But recently some doctor said that immunity runs out. So I am now considering getting the hepatitis b vaccination again. Do I need to, and what are the side effects?

I don't think there are any serious side effects. I know all my kids go the hepatitis b vaccination and they had no trouble with it. Perhaps you'll have a bit of a fever for a day or so, or perhaps you will get a rash. I think the hepatitis b vaccination is pretty safe though and much preferable to actually getting hepatitis b.
