Hello, folks. I have been experiencing some troubles with my dry eyes. My ophthalmologist recommended me silicone plugs and I took them. But, I must admit that they are now driving me nuts! Has anyone experienced this before? I would appreciate all your replies considering this topic. Thank you in advance.

Hello. My sister in law had similar problems. She went for silicone plugs. First, she did feel some discomfort. She felt itching and sometimes overtearing. But, at the end, she was satisfied. These plugs stop tears to get into nasolacrimal canal. They hold tears in the eyes and in that way they moisturize it. Maybe you should be just more patient. Otherwise, consult with your ophthalmologist. Bye!
