I know this person who has gone through a couple of schizophrenic episodes before, and now he has become all introverted and withdrawn. My guess is that this is the beginning of a new schizophrenic episode. What do you folks think? Could I be right, or do you think this is unrelated?

That sounds very typical to me indeed. Withdrawal is definitely a sign that a schizophrenic episode is quick to set on, and if you can, you should warn the doctor of the schizophrenic patient about this so a treatment plan can be made. I hope that answers your question? Do let me know if there is anything else you need to know.

i've had schizophrenic episodes.. they start when i interact with life and start seeing coincidences and start assuming.. it's hard to explain.. but i ecentually get manic and then insomnia and then delusional and then dreaming while i'm awake..
i like to be withdrawn because a- i don't like to involve people with my drama b- i don't care what people talk about c- when i interact with people, i start seeing the coincidences, and then it re-starts the cycle to acute psychosis..
let this person be. if they start acting crazy and delusional then get involved. some people just don't want to be bothered, and i know you mean well, but you don't understand this person at all and can not help.
