I`m 42 and I`ve been working for a chemical company for almost 4 years. Recently I`ve started to feel generally ill – fatigue, shortness of my breath and the pain. I can`t catch my breath. After seeing a doctor I was diagnosed with spontaneous pneume thorax. Few months have passed but I still feel the pain and have difficulties with breathing. Not sure what to do.

Hi. Shortness of breath, fatigue and pain are the most common symptoms of spontaneous pneumo thorax. I had the same disease. Couldn't breathe in or out. Also, there was that sharp pain in my chest, whenever I move. It is important not to be alone, you could die otherwise. I'm allright now, after the surgery. Had only 1 relapse, which was normal in recovering from spontaneous pneumo throx, and, the most important thing, the pain had stopped. Heard that spontaneous pneumo thorax is a common disease among sportsmen and tall persons?
