sterilised, but now i'm missing my period

First of all, you are so lucky to have 4 kids :) But back to your problem. You say you were sterilized, but what method was used exactly? It depends a lot on that, because if you're not ovulating than there are no hormones to trigger your period. Depending on the method that was used, you still might get periods, but they can be late, or too heavy/ too light. If you can, the best thing would be for you to see your ob-gyn and if hpt's were negative up to seven weeks, you might want to do a blood pregnancy test. It's far more reliable and can detect pregnancy even in early stages.

But if you can give more details on how you were sterilized, it would be easier to pin point the reasons why your period is late.

Hi thank you in very lucky i have 2boys and 2 girls we are very blessed. I had my tubes tied and ive always had heavy periods but since my lol girl was born and was sterilised my periods have become very heavy but stil regular an if ii got to my gp he will just send me away as ive been to see him for heavy periods as it takes alot out of me to bleed very heavy for 7days an my kids need me to be at my best all the time and all he sed was give it a year an if its stil the same we can think bout doin somethin so not much help at all xx

Hi I was sterilised in Feb this year periods came heavy and not the same time but now I had periods the end of June and not yet arrived have a lot of pain lower back and stomach but no sign of periods and yes I am sexually active sometimes the list is so heavy never felt like that before is it possible that I can be pregnant used clips doctor first burned the tubes before putting on the clips . advise urgently please

Hi, I've been sterilized for 4 years had my periods now and then heavy has hell, but it stopped in July 2017 and I haven't come on once, my sterilization they cut my tubes, I haven't taken a test, coz I can't be or could I, what do you think x
