Still bleeding after 7 days of period( 8th day)

Hi I'm 16. I have irregular periods but I've never had a period like this. So I got my period Thursday the 18th I believe. So I normally bleed for 7 days( 1 week) my period has shown some sign of slowing down but not how it normally does. My period was heavy this month but now it in between moderate to light but its dark red and small clots. When its starts to slow down it turns brown then stops. Idk what's going on. My boyfriend and I had sex a week before my period and we used protection and check for holes tares or rips. There were none. But soon after I started bleeding. But it stopped three days prior. I'm thinking Its from the sex and possibly the speed and its been a long time since we've had sex. But I just wanna know is this normal? Please some help and it would be nice if you wouldn't judge. Thank you :)

Hi Guest,

People shouldn't judge you because you're being careful. Its pretty common for periods to be weird like this I've had a 10 day 1 once and I'm 20! Since your only 16 you wouldn't have been having periods for that long and they will still be sorting them selves out so this is common for teenagers. If it doesn't stop in the next few days then you should speak to your doctor about it and see what they say and if they can recommend something.

It is common to have prolonged periods . This may be due to some hormonal imbalance which gets right on its own. If bleeding is heavy and continues for 15 days please approach a gynaec

After delivery ,35 days bleeding occurred.then stoped bleeding.then my period started after 13 days.but it does not end after 7 days.y?please help me.when it will be end.

It's only like the third time I've had my period but I'm still kinda worried. My period is now on eight days long. On the 6th day I thought it had stopped so I didn't wear a pad the next day but then it came back. It's now the 8th day what do I do????

When I had my baby I was 16 and my period stayed on for a month it's because you just had a baby no worries his people. Is that gone for 2 months and 3 months after they have a baby
