Okay have daughter 15 years old who has had an episode of feeling week, hungry, all three times she was standing in lunch line to get her lunch at school. Within 2 seconds she is on floor blacked out, so white pale, and her pulse drops way down to 20. This just happen again this week & she is also on her period. Each time she was taken by ambulance to hospital and when she comes to doesn't remember anything or what happen. The first time ER doctor said was nothing to worry bout cause its genic, she is red head and will grow out of it & gave her prescription of similar to nitroglycerin take when she feels the spell coming. I did not fill this prescription cause taught wrong to strong for child, plus no time to take pill before passing out. Now this tuesday take her back to heart doctor for third time, and to obgyn on 17th. Maybe something can be found & done, cause this really scares me & worries me!

So, this happened to me this morning... I ate leftovers all weekend (not wanting to take an EXTRA metro ride to a grocery before monday when I could just make a metro detour that costs less) and then this morning on the 10m walk to the station it was about 26F out.  Got on the train, read from my kindle while standing (not uncommon), switched trains, read more... then about one station short of my destination I felt ill... the only thing I'd ever had that felt like that before was once a few years back after I assume I'd eaten leftovers that were a little TOO 'left over' if you take my meaning.  It got worse and my compunction was to exit the train, find (out of courtesy) a trash bin and wait it out since, the last time, I instantly felt better after having 'expunged' the contents of my stomach.  Never got the chance... found myself on the floor (I thought I'd tripped as the metro train drivers having varying levels of skill with the brakes and some jolt rather hard) trying to get out the door, but people were swarming all over me.  Kinda had to fight my way outside, and the train wouldn't leave and I had to tell someone claiming to be a nurse that I just wanted to sit for a minute, etc.  Finally got them to leave, got on the next train and got to the office.  Not much time passed, but someone said I'd 'passed out twice' though I don't remember it that way.

So nothing like that's ever happened to me before... but it began with the same kind of nauseous 'hmm, maybe I should find a toilet' feeling which I (perhaps in err) assumed came from something I ate.  Combine extra unusual circumstances of not having eaten yet that morning, being particularly cold out, moving vehicle combined with trying to read, jolts, etc.  Felt right as rain as soon as I was off the train and sitting down.  Notions?

I'm 48. I've had this unpredictable passing out since when I was 18. It happens once a year. My stomach turns and I sweat and it becomes uncomfortable. After a couple of minutes I feel nauseous. If I can reach a bathroom in time, I poo but the discomfort persists. Many a times, I have passed out for around 5 to 10 minutes. Everything becomes normal when I vomit. I feel fine once I vomit and get it out my system. Doctors are not able to find anything wrong with me. Life goes on.

Whenever I sense its onset, I try to find a bathroom at the earliest and wait for it to tide over. Its heartening to know that I am not alone

I was fertilizing yard and got very sweaty, blurred vision and nauseated and also had foot cramps.  I was on anxiety pills that made me urinate every 2 hrs at night and think I was dehydrated.  I was on Celexa.......did not take one today and maybe this is side effect.

I am SO glad I am reading these posts. I hope you find time to answer. What is wrong with us? The same thing has happened to me since I was 18 (23 now) I get them 2-4 times a year. Sometimes they are so severe I become completely incontinent, dispelling and vomiting concurrently. My vision goes black and I do not stop sweating. It lasts 5-20 minutes and as someone else stated, after vomiting everything gets better. I've been in the ambulance 3 times for this already and seen 3 gynaecologists. They all tell me nothing. I am young and I have huge worries about the reasons for this. I hope I am able to have children.

This also happened to me yesterday. I thought I might have been pregnant because something similar to this happened to me a year and a half ago when I was.

My daughter has has these episodes during the last three cycles. She is on it now and we know it is going to happen again. She went to the cardiologist the other day and he said she has low blood pressure. He told her to wrap ace wraps around her lower legs to keep the blood up. Makes me nervous because it come on so suddenly. The thought if her driving and this happening scares me as well.

I think you guys should all get checked for anaemia. I was fine as a kid never had it until I started my periods. Then the random fainting and blacking out... They did a blood test, but it was almost normal - because I wasn't on my period at the time. Tried again when I was and yep. Anaemia can cause weakness dizziness yada yada. If it only occurs during your periods consider taking a small iron supplement during them, it definitely helped me.

i know how you feel, that happens to me once In a while. What I do when the feeling comes is I very quickly grab a small snack like crackers and slowly start munching while sitting and taking slow deep breaths. Food and sitting upright with deep breaths helps me instantly and my symptoms of nausea and fainting go away and my senses come back. I get these symptoms if I haven't eaten in a while usually when I'm on my period. Hopefully this helps somehow. Many blessings!

I have had two similar experience in the past month. First, I feel extremely nauseated, which comes on really fast...I go from feeling fine to the worse nausea I have ever felt. Then I suddenly pass out. And of course this triggers my blood pressure to drop very low....the last time it was 70/17 when the paramedics took it. I usually feel somewhat better after I get an IV but not 100% Ive had a complete cardio work up and an ultrasound d of my abdomen which were all normal. next I'm going for an Upper GI. I am desperate to find an answer. Any help out there?
