After I had both my knees replaced I developed swelling in my legs and feet. Both legs are red starting about 6 inches below my knees. First they thought cellulitus or blood clots. But after tests and a 2 rounds of antibiotics, nothing changed. All tests were normal. Can't find whats wrong. An infectious desease Doctor told me it is from the swelling, to elevate my legs.
I take a strong diarectic and potassium. I find it hard to walk. It has set me back with my therapy. I must soon return to work. My legs are hard.
Sometimes the red goes away only to return. I can feel little lumps. I have no leakage. But sometimes the skin there is dry and peelable.
I begun putting moisturizer on my legs. Some say to much salt. No I don't use it and read all lables because my husand and I have to take blood pressure medicine. This all started over night.
Please does anyone have an answer? I am a 57yr old female. Not ready to give up. I have always been fairly active. Now Im not. Whats the answer???? Thank you to anyone who knows.
