I finished 3 injections about 6 weeks ago and the pain is much worse now. I have pain just standing and the bottoms of my feet hurt when I walk, especially when I get up in the morning. My quads and knees are very swollen. I am taking tramadol around the clock and if I miss a dose, I can't get the pain under control again.

I have always been very athletic and work out 2-3 times a week. I was having some pain in my knees and decided to have the 3 sinvisc shots. I got them about 2 months ago and am having more pain than ever. I'm having pain in places I never had pain. I can't bend my knees very well and when I walk, my legs throb from pressure. The bottom of my feet are so sore, especially when I get up in the morning. My legs are so swollen. I went to a different ortho today and he said I must have had an inflammatory reaction. I got cortisone shots in both knees that have been working for years. I just thought I was getting too much cortisone and wanted to try something safer, more natural. I was so wrong. I am taking Tramadol around the clock and if I miss a dose, I can't catch up with the pain. Did you ever get compensation? That's what I was thinking about.

I have had issues too and more issues finding a doctor that will help with it, as the injecting doctor threw me under the bus after I had a bad reaction and has done nothing for me. Is there any doctors out there willing to help us with the after math of these bad injections?

I had bad reactions, calf cramps, pain in places I didn't have before, pain behind knee radiating down, the calf cramps affected foot so that I have pain in the arch/heel area since the calf cramps started, etc. Much worse since shot and it DID NOT help the painful spot I had before injections. Not sure the shot was even done right. Doctor didn't give anything for pain, just slammed the needle in side of my knee and the pain was horrible and I was unable to move for several minutes as the pain had stunned me so badly. I checked internet for proper injection method and it seems none of the recommendations were followed; Not sure stuff even went into the right space. Doctor denied the after affects were from shots. He has a ego issue and doesn't like anything negative it seems. But, hard to find anyone who will help you get over this and confirm the issues that happened after shot.. It is like they all protect each other and I think those of us getting these shots need to find a way to get together to do something about it. I still suffer and it has been over two years since the shot.

I had the Synvisc injection on June 18, 2013 in my left knee and is has been extremely swollen and painful ever since. Yes, it's been over seven months. I was not overweight and previously athletic with a bit of knee osteoarthritis and I took the injection prophylactically as I was signed up to do a bike ride from Vienna to Budapest. I was unable to ride a bike after the injection for about 3 months. Although I can ride a bike now, I am not sure if it is wise to do the 50 mile rides anymore with my knee so swollen. I have had the knee drained and the fluid tested for infection, gout, crystals, etc. but nothing other than a high white cell count indicative of the inflammation was found.
The Synvisc was from Lot # W12141, exp 9/2015. Has anyone had an injection from the same lot number? I, too, am interested in participating in a class action suit.
I tried a cortisone shot in October 2013 but it only helped for 2 weeks. The only thing that has been helping the pain is Serrapeptase. I did not see any benefits in reduction of swelling from NSAIDs.
The three knee specialists I have seen have labeled my condition as Synovitis and can only suggest arthroscopic surgery to "clean it up" or a Synovectomy. Has anyone had a Synovectomy? Was it successful? What is the recovery like?
For those who had the arthroscopic "clean up", was it a permanent solution or did the fluid build up again?
What is the cure for Synovitis?

Since this is a FDA approved, Synvisc is protected from all liability!

I had the shot done in Oct. 2014. I am in so much pain. Has anyone heard of a class action suite against the company. I would love to join in. The pain doctor thinks it has damaged my knee beyond repair.
