Some men experience an ache after being sexual aroused for a time without release. Some men have tried to use this to pressure women into having sex with them, as if it is their fault... but in fact, there are several alternatives.

One is as Storthers3 suggests, to relieve yourself through masterbation. However, you can experience this BEFORE your date, as well as after. Some would recommend relieving the pressure before a date, so that you'll not be as tempted, and will feel more relaxed.

Never having experienced this Blue Balls effect myself, I would think that one could wait until after the date if you're that affected.

But the explanation is that after periods of high sexual excitment, your cowpers gland, seminal vessicles and prostate are all busy producing their fluids and getting ready to send those sperms out into the world. After awhile of standing ready, they can begin to ache.
