Im nineteens years old. My last period was on December 22. I had unprotected sex on January 1. I missed my next period. took a pregnancy test, and it was negative. about a week after i went to the bathroom and there was brown mucus like stuff when i wiped. every two weeks since then I've had the brown discharge. I've taken about six pregnancy tests since then, all have been negative. what could this be?

The brown discharge is most likely trace amounts of blood from what should be your period. You're probably experiencing a hormone imbalance where the chemicals that make your period come and go aren't cycling properly. This happened to me when I was about 20 -- I didn't get my period for nearly 6 months, but went through times every six weeks or so where I'd get discharge like this. My gynocologist ended up putting me on birth control pills to help kickstart my system, and now everything's running like clockwork. It's totally normal for some people's cycles to change like this, so don't worry about telling a doctor -- do it soon, though...you want to have your period at least every three months to flush out your uterine lining and reduce risk of cervical cancer or polyps.
