im on day 4 of my tonsils being taken out. ive been in pain since the day of the segery when i woke up. my oxygen level went down when i woke up so i pretty much was gasping for air. day 1 to now which is day 4 it still hurts to swallow anything. ive had a fever on and off. the nighttime is worse for me then the day time. right now i feel like im swallowing mucus continually and i also have thrust. basically my tongue and whole mouth is white as a ghost. its causing me to not be-able to keep my throat hydrated at all. i have a mouth wash im suppose to use but it makes me gag like crazy. also on day 2 i started the antibiotic and the pain meds they gave me and had an allergic reaction to it and was throwing up and the left scab came completely off. i stopped the bleeding by sucking on some ice. it took 20 mins but it finally stopped bleeding and formed a new scab over it. i cnt wait to eat normal food again. im only on day 4 and all i can get down is some broth and some water. ive tried mashed potatoes but i cant get them to go down without swallowing 8 times. my teeth r also killing me. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. i gotta go back to work in 2 weeks cause i cant afford to be off any longer and right now im miserable.
