We have given penicillin to our kid because of the bacterial infection he has and it seems like he has developed some sort of allergic reaction. He has mild diarrhea and we are not sure if that is because of the medication or because of something else. Anyway, if this is an allergy, is there a treatment for those drug allergies?

Well, the most efficient therapy would be to stop with the applying of the problematic medication. And diarrhea really is a side effect that might occur with the use of penicillin. The only good thing here is that it is a mild reaction, not a dangerous one, so you don’t have to worry that much, just change that medication.
