In my experience it takes awhile for the hormone balance to return to normal once going off of birth control. Depending on the type of birth control you were taking it can take as long as a year, but all of the research I've done (which is a ton, I'm in nursing school) you should go off the pill like 6 months before you actually want to get pregnant. So relax and don't stress over it. It is possible to get pregnant before that time frame is up, that is just the general suggested amount of time. Making an appointment with your gyno to talk about preprego planning is a really good idea, especially if you still have questions. Then can help you make a plan fit just for you. Good luck :D
