This has been happening for years. My stomach distends to a point where I can't walk due to severe pain. At this point I usually end up in emergency in which the general surgeons debate on whether to check for blockages or not - and it usually is a no. They have done tests like endoscapy, endoscapy, xray, catscan, small bowel swallow, and they are preparing new tests as they come along. I have to stress that when I am blown up like a blowfish and have pain, I still can eat and still have blowel movements. I'm a regular 5'11 male weighing about 170 lbs, with this stomach I am 30 lbs more. There has literally been no answers, the doctors don't even know what the problem is. If you guys have any ideas it would be great. I must add that I am not having diarrhea or constipation but when my stomach is decompressed it looks as if there is nothing up. The doctors in emergency usually keep me at the hospital for about 7 days in which I am fed intravenusly(electrolights and salt water) and they put this tube down my nasal into my stomach which acts like a vacuum. I really need help, I don't want this for the rest of my life. I can't be productive or do anything I enjoy. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. My GI said there is a small chance I may have Crohn's. Any other ideas? Thank you.
