Ok so i am on the pill, and have been for 9 months, for the first 6 months i took it at night, but recently, within the last 3 months i started taking it in the morning. i had my period last on April 11th and it went until the 16th. My boyfriend and i had sex(unprotected) on the 17th. Now today April 28th i started bleeding again. i am unsure if i am pregnant becuase i am only on day 11 of my pills, so my period is not expected for another 11-13 days. i am sure i am not but i just want to be sure, i read that once started your period its roughly 14 days until the next egg is released and we had sex the day after my period started so, nonetheless my question is AM I PREGNANT? and if not, why am i bleeding so soon??

Hi Hotpink. The big question here is, how much are you bleeding? If it is a lot and seems to be a period, then it could be just that, your period is a little topsy turvey. Sometimes, pills do that and you might need to change it. It is a very light amount, you could have a fertilization going on. It is usually a brown discharge, but VERY short indeed. So that is it in a nutshell, a lot = period, a very little = a possible pregnancy. And IF you don't want to be pregnant, and this is just a quirky pill thing, make sure it is NEVEr unprotected again OK? For you complete health and the health of your partner.
