Hi, folks. My father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I think that his doctor is still thinking what kind of treatment will be best for him. I was wondering if anti androgens could be used in post op process. I think that my father will be recommended for surgery. Thank you for replying.

Hi to you too. I am not a medical expert, so I will only give my personal opinion. When we talk about the surgery in prostate cancer, it is usually the removal of the testicles. This is important since this is the main source of androgens in male organism. This procedure is also known as orchiectomy. However, this is not the only source of androgen in organism. That is why it is logical to use anti androgens in post op process. I am not sure how efficient this all is. I hope I have helped a little. Bye!
