Hello, I know this question is 1yr old but this is my first time on this site. First off where are you all located? Because here in the state of Kansas Hypothyroidism is not considered to be an autoimmune disease. It is simply just a "disorder" and therefore nothing to worry about. Anyway, back to your question, I believe that crohn's disease is connected to hypothyroidism. I have had this so called disorder since I was a child and have noticed as I get up in age the disorder changes as your body does with aging. I am now in my early 40's and have now begun to get signs of crohn's disease. All of which I had never had before in my earlier years. I have always prided myself in eating healthy and trying my best to stay in shape but have only been able to keep from gaining weight and kind of just keep it at a stand still rather than gain. The most common of symptoms that I have experienced from crohn's is bloating/gas, acid reflux, muscle spasms, back pain as if constipation, and sometimes bloody stool.
