I got my period yesterday and starting last night, I woke up with a horrible itching feeling inside my vaginal lips but not inside the vulva. I did fool around with my boyfriend a bit that day, no sex I am still a virgin, just hands were used. Could it be a yeast infection?I have had them before and never had this experience before The itching is only bad during the night and it's mild during the day. When I scratch though it burns so much!! There doesn't seem to be any foul smell so I am not quite too sure what it is.

Any suggestions?

You don't have to have sex to get a yeast infection. Unfortunately there may have been something on someone's hands that your body just didn't like. The pH in your vaginal area is very sensitive. Your period may have just caused the yeast to travel to the outside of your vagina which is going to cause quite a bit of itching for you. If it continues itching for a few more days and if this is your first yeast infection, which I'm guessing it is, you need to go see a gynecologist. They will swab and test for yeast. No big deal, quite simple really. And now they even have yeast infection stuff you can take orally and only once! Good stuff :-)

Don't fret. It will be okay. Good Luck!

I have suffered with the same problem, and the solution that I found was "Aloe vera" the imitation ones, as they contem alcohool, or other quimics, the real plant, only the inside of it, the gely part.

Absolutly wonderfull.

I had the same problem, and couldn't find any cream to help. Therefore I took Gradma advise. Pure alove vera, no the mixed quimc ones, but the gel inside the plant, it is natural and worked immediately.
Off course it is for the external area of the vagina.
I want to spread the news I as know many women who had gone through this iching drama during their period.
