Hi everyone,
I am seeking some dire help and advice. I'm a 20 year old female and I've been having very heavy periods with unusual discharge - normally a bloody glob ranging in size from a dime to larger than a half-dollar. After pressing a glob in between toilet paper, it appears to have a mucus-like/jelly-like consistency. This has happened ever since I began menstruating at 11 years of age, but as of late it's become more common. I dismissed it at first, but now, as I said, it's started happening more and more. Eventually my period will stop, after 10 or so days. However, I'll still spot or have a slight period for a day if I become too upset or stressed over something. Also, if I become hot and heavy or turned on by my boyfriend, I also begin to spot. I am, however, still a virgin and am NOT taking any birth control. Someone please help me decided what the heck is going on. :-(

Hi honey! This is unfortunately VERY common! And the great answer to this is for you to be checked out by your doctor and put on BCP! These are FANTASTIC for helping with clots, and excessive bleeding! You WILL notice a profound difference, as BCO shrink the blood vessels in your uterine lining - thus after sometime women actually can find themseleve not even having a period! So just make an apoointment and make sure you don't feel anemic with all of this blood loss OK? Good luck and health!
