Hi guys,
For the last 5 days, my penis has felt limp and light, even on the lighter side 3 days when I did masturbate. What I mean is that if I tap it will move to the side. Normally, it would never do so in its flaccid state before and was 3 inches soft and about 5 hard. Now, it is closer to 2 inches soft(doesn't stand up like before) and 4 1/2 hard. I've been having trouble getting erections as well and libido has been low.
I have had difficulties sleeping for the last few weeks and have been rather depressed for awhile due to being unemployed, but I haven't had any problems getting erections often.
In fact, I had been masturbating each day for quite awhile. Last two days, nothing.
I've been on metorpolol for palpitations I have had for 2+ years and do have some nerve problems(mild tremors) as well as dizziness and headaches. Could this be related to my nerve issues? In other words, could it be a block in blood flow? Have had some testicular pain a few months back, but the doctor did a physical exam and wasn't worried. He wanted me to take cipro, but I declined after I was looking through the side effects. I had urgent care do a UTI check a few days before the doctor's visit, and they said it was fine. Have only had 1 partner and was last sexually active 11 years ago. Previous HIV test was negative as well.

Hi David,
Metorpolol can contribute to the problems. It's a beta-blocker. Erection problems are common.
Depression or feeling down, and not getting sleep, can contribute to erectile problems.
Get some exercise, it can help you feel better, and plenty of rest. If it continues see your doctor.
Hope it helps.

It may very well be due, at least in part, to the medication you are taking; some medications (including that one) can contribute to erectile dysfunction issues, so consult with your doctor and see if there might be an alternative for you to consider. As well, how you are feeling, both psychologically and physically, can have an effect as well, so eat right, sleep well and exercise appropriately; if you feel “down,” find things that make you feel more positive; if actually depressed, you may need to see a professional. Also, keep your penis in good overall health; regularly use a quality penis nutrient cream (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). Look for one with a powerful antioxidant (like alpha lipoic acid) and also with acetyl L carnitine, which helps with penis sensitivity. Good luck!
