Tramadol will react differently in everyone.  For me- it worked, helped my pain and I wasn't reaching for snacks like I use to.  I was so stressed about the pain.

Yes I have taken tramadol since recouperating from surguries for stage 4 cancer  I was really deppressed before the cancer and drinking and smoking. the ony good thing cause of the ilness i lost 40 lbs.  so i took tramadol every couple days or so believing it possibly made me feel beter or a slight high but only on 4, 100mg pills .  so i do like them but i am certain that once i started antidepressants and was well again those are what is causeing, Im  male by the way,  Belly Fat even with exercise, So big Delema, What No Spell Check? I am even afraid of alcohol,  Of course Hate cigarretts, Alcohol My usual go to.  Again the word Antidepresant should tell you  it doesnt depress your Metab. , Ironic as it slows it down  Really Just Go For the Least amounts you can and get walking

The same is happening to me. I always was thin my whole life till I started taking tramadol for my pain. I'm now literally 30 pounds heavier than Ive ever been in my life. I was thinner when pregnant. This is crazy!!! I don't eat for me to have gained this much weight. Tramadol can be very addictive to. I'm stopping this now before it gets out of control.

I was on Tramadol for 15 months, for spinal stenosis, arthritis and Fibrositis, taking 100 mg morning and night, took myself off when I realized I was dependent on them for the energy and great mood rather than for pain control. Went totally holistic on herbs and supplements and stopped all my fibro completely but it was not until after the a withdrawal stage.HORRIBLE week of drug withdrawal with no sleep and constant body spasms particularly in my legs, but hey I'm off Tramadol! Now I am feeling fabulous, but gaining weight really fast. After ditching Tramadol I have already gained 20 pounds in 2 months despite watching my diet and exercising. Its all in my stomach and I hate the way I look now. Never had a big stomach before so yep besides messing with my pain sensors, Tramadol has tweeked my metabolism. I hate Tramadol and will never go back on them! I sure do hope I can get back to my pre-Tramadol weight. Has anyone done that?

I'm so glad I have found these posts. I was on Tramadol for 14 years for fibromyalgia and decided to get off it. I weaned myself off over a 12 week period. While I was on the drug, I gained over 80 pounds at one time, but have lost about 35 of it. I was hoping to start losing more when I stopped taking Tramadol. The opposite has been true. I have gained 15 pounds and it is all in my abdomen. My belly is so bloated and tight it is like carrying around a watermelon. I'm a guy, but I look like I'm 9 months pregnant! I wish I had never gotten on that drug!

I am on tramadol and have steady gained weight. I take 300mg a day. For me the want to exercise has just left me, similarly to my sex drive. I've been on for about three years. No longer euphoric at all I just take enough to feel normal. It caused me to eat more often whether I was hungry or not because I would get sick from them and nauseous. My husband would often comment how can you be hungry again! I was not hungry but I needed to take the medication.

Came off these 2 months ago after 4 yearson 150 -200mg fast release a day. I was so happy on them..ideal body, happy, great mom, great wife, efficient at work and was pretty much tee total. Came off them and gained 5 KGS (11 pounds). I'm miserable, depressed, angry with my family and horribly impatient. I am going back on them asap.. I thought I would be healthier without them but feel my life spiraling down the toilet!
