TMI ahoy! I recently had a scan of my uterus after experiencing PCOS-like symptoms and was confusingly told by one doctor that it was PCOS and by another that my cysts were not like they would be in PCOS normally, and that I should lose a couple kilos (not much - I am very tall and broad). Anyhow, I haven't had my period for about two months (it tends to come every 60 days or so when it is regular), and a couple days ago I stood up, not expecting my period, and a LOT of blood came out. And I mean a lot. My periods are generally heavy but that was ridiculous. That day, I experienced incredibly bad period pains. I took some paracetamol and they went away an hour later. Two days later (today), they were even worse. They woke me up. I was brought to tears and was nauseous. I took some ibuprofen and had a bath, where I passed out (!) I have probably experienced cramps about five other times in my life, but never as badly as this.
My period was fairly light today, but in the evening I noticed there was a liver-like piece of tissue on my pad. It was about two inches long and an inch wide. I am not sexually active and have not been for nearly a year. Anyone else experienced this? I have a feeling it was a bit of lining that might not have been broken down possibly, hence the pain in passing it, but I don't know if this is anything to sorry about.
