For quite some time now I get pains in my left ovary. It was excruciating at first, it almost made me cry, but as time has gone on I've gotten sort of used to it and now it's just like mild/intense cramps. Now just recently along with the pain I feel a large lump like my left ovary had become enlarged and it is very hard to the touch. It is visible. I'm afraid to touch it because I don't know what it is. I am a little afraid to go to the doctor because I have sex and I'm always worried that I might get pregnant, but I am on birth control. I know this is a lot to read but, please, anyone that can actually help me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Get to the doctor. You could have an ovarian cyst or something alot more serious. A good doctor will make you feel comfortable. You should be more concerned with this then worrying about becoming pregnant.
Please do not wait to go to a doctor or a women's clinic. It is important.
