I have been taking the birth control pill known as Yasmin for more than a year now. I have been hearing a lot on TV and from people who do it, that it's possible to skip a period. I've read into it as much as I can, going to fewerperiods.com a lot! Well, the problem is that i figured out I would have my period in the beginning of March when I'm going down to spend spring break with my fiance at his base. I want to skip a period so I don't have to worry about it during that week, if you know what I mean. Well, the week I was supposed to have my regular period was last week 7-13, and instead of taking the placebo pills (white) I threw those away and started a whole new pack with active pills instead. When I get my period regularly, it usually comes around Tuesday (I'm a Sunday starter) and during that week when I went on to more of the active pills, I noticed some spotting. I didn't think much of it at first, but it continued up till around Sat. And then, it got a little bit heavier, as if I was having a period. Is that normal the first time you do something like this? Is it my body just trying to adjust? Should I worry at all? I would really like to know please if I'm in danger in any way or if it's completely normal. Please give me some advice IF you have some pertaining to my issue at hand. Thank you.
