I am 25 years old and I started getting my period when I was about 14/15 years old. I have been on birth control since I have been 16 since my periods were always irregular and also just for protection. I am still on birth control to this day, although it has been changed a little since I've been on it. I'm on a birth control with a lower hormone level in it, too high of a hormone in the pill makes me sick. Anyways, in the past I've gone 4, 5, 6 months at a time without a period. My body was doing good again where I would get a period every month after ending my pill packet. Now it seems to disappearing again and only coming every 3 months. In the past, and I've only had to do it once but my GYN actually had to give me pills to induce my period. The pills raise your hormone levels and when you stop taking them, the hormones drop suddenly and cause you to have a period. I also get ovarian cysts a few times a year but they go away on their own. Today I just took my last pill in my packet, so I'm hoping I get my period because this would mark another 3 month mark. I'm currently engaged to be married in June 2014, but my fiance and I are not going to be trying to have kids until June 2015 or a few months before. My BIG concern though is WHY is this happening AND am I going to have issues getting pregnant? My biggest fear is that I won't be able to get pregnant or it'll take a very long time. My mothers sister, my aunt had to get pregnant through IVF. Anyone have this same issue, or has had this issue but was still able to get pregnant? Did you have to go through fertility treatments or IVF?
