Can a man father a child while taking zonegran and what if any are the risk

Hello! I’m a female and I have been taking Zonegran for epilepsy.
I spoke to my doctor about the effects of Z. to the fetus and he told me it is not so safe. There aren’t many documented reports but he said that the tests on animals and some humans showed that Z. shouldn’t be taken during pregnancy by females as it could harm the fetus.
Now, I don’t know what’s the story with males. I reckon there won’t be much influence on the fetus but I can’t say if it could impair your fertility. What did your doctor say?
Do you know if epilepsy has anything to do with male fertility problems.
