I have endometriosis and I get used on that. Now I am old enough to wish a baby, but I found out something that worried me. I have heard that is really difficult to getting pregnant with endometriosis. I guess that expresses what many women feel about this disease, so I need to know more. Can you tell me is that true and why, because I don’t understand isn’t endometriosis hard enough and without that.

I will try to explain this to you, thought it is not sure yet what causes endometriosis, either what causes possible fertility. With mild endometriosis, the patient should continue to attempt pregnancy. If you have mild type you should keep trying and use ovulation induction with clomiphene citrate. Clomid or Serophene are some recommended medications which might help you became pregnant. Washed intrauterine insemination showed as something what might improve pregnancy rates. With moderate and severe endometriosis, surgical excision of all the disease with reconstruction and restoration of anatomy has been shown to achieve pregnancy rates. There were also some studies that have suggested how post-surgical medical suppression with gonadatropin agonists can improve pregnancy rates. However, mechanism of endometriosis and fertility it could cause is still a mystery. It is important to look and some other factors including the patient’s age, endometriosis stage, and what her desired outcomes wishes.

| I recently was diagnosed with endometriosis and had the surgery to remove what they could. I was not planning another pregnancy but a month after surgery I found out I was pregnant. If you want a baby I would suggest the surgery to remove the endometriosis even though it may not result in a pregnancy it would be your best bet. |
