I had been on my "period" for 3 months when the doctors finally decided that it was getting serious, i had been to the doctors 12 times in 1 month... they wanted to send me for ultrasound and as the doctor was writing the letter out to make the appointment, I had a sevre abdominal pain and she decided to send me to hospital with suspected apendacitus, 2 days went by in hospital when they decided to do laparotomy as they couldnt find my apendix on the ultrasound, after the laparotomy the surgeon told my mother and father that he wanted to do a hysterectomy, due to there being a large amount of infection in all my abdominal organs and that my right fallopian tube was twisted, as i'm only 16 my parents told the surgeon that would rather he found another solution then taking my "woman hood" away from me at 16, its now been a month since i had my operation and have been on antibiotics ever since to try and clear the infection, in 6 days time i have to go back and see the Gynaecologist, GP said there will be 2 possible outcomes, they do the hysterectomy and offer me fertility treatment free throw the NHS or they try and save my womb so i can at least have free IVF treament... On top of all this at 16, i have recently lost my grandmother to bow cancer, now my grandfather has been diagonised with pneumonia, and i have just been diagonised as a manic depressent..... Who do i talk to and which way do i turn???? :-( :-(

I'm 24 and have had abdominal pain for quite some time. They found a small collapsing cyst in my right ovary and advised it would go away with my cycles. The pain began to increase so they sent me for a CT Scan thinking it's something else. Though the CT Scan is not nearly as detailed as an ultrasounds they detected hydrosalpinx. I recently went for new ultrasounds, internal as well and they have found a twisted fallopian tube. The more research I find it seems they have to do surgery. Did the Dr's advise you they could leave the tube as it is?

My daughter who is 15 just had surgery today. They thought she had an ovarian cyst but it turns out her right fallopian tube was twisted like a corkscrew. Dr was shocked but said he was glad he did the surgery. They had to cut out that tube so she only has one tube now. If you have this problem you need to have the tube removed. The pain will only get worse. In two months time she was in the emergency room 4 times and admitted once for severe pain.
