Is it normal to still be bleeding bright red blood and passing small clots 18 days after having a LEEP? I was at the end of my menstrual cycle when I had the LEEP done so I know it isn't my normal period...that's not due for another 2 weeks and I've always been regular in the past. I followed all the instructions - no sex (God help me!!), using pads and changing frequently (more out of need than anything else because I'm soaking one every 2-3 hours for the past 2 weeks), not taking any medications - even asprin, haven't even been working out because my flow is so heavy. I had understood there would be 'spotting' but for the past 2 weeks there is an almost constant drip of bright red blood when I go to the washroom and in the mornings I have a gush that soaks through everything. There is no odour so I'm not worried about infection. Is this bleeding considered to be normal? Or should I be following up with my GYN?
