My 68 yr-old dad was recently diagnosed with gallbladder cancer. He has all the symptoms to lead to it being Stage 4 (yellow jaundice, weight loss, nausea, fever, chills). All that is being done is test after test, and in the mean time my father is getting worse by the day with no treatment started. He recently had a biopsy on the tumor but dont know the results on that yet. He is scheduled to start chemo next week. He is in and out of the hospital from dihydration, urinary tract infection, bacteria infection, blood in urine. Please can anyone tell me anything.

Hi honey! Why haven't they taken the Gallbladder? Do you know if the cancer has mestastasized? All I know honey - from unfortunately personal experiene - is that it is going to have to be YOU that demands answers and action! It is hard, but when someone is sick and the patient they don't want to "rock the boat" DEMAND to know why his gallbladder hasn't been removed and if it has mestastasized? And when they are starting chemo!? also know that some cancers a VERY slow growing and even though you think that it is just groing like wildfire while you poor dad waits - it doesn't really mean that! Ceratin cancers have to have certain cocktails to get at it the best way! Also ask about radiation therapy! Please let me know how you make out! And your dad and yourself are in my prayers! God bless!
