Hi,
I had sex with my girlfriend on 1st March. As far as I remember, it was on 7th day of her periods. Accidentally, the condom tore during the intercourse, but I I didn't finish inside her. I withdrew myself before I finished, the semen spilled on her body, though not near her vagina. We wiped everything clean.
It was careless of us to think that it was safe. It's already 1st May now and she still haven't got her periods.
Her cycle is about 30 days long, so we are afraid something is wrong now.

Do you recommend doing a pregnancy test? Or should we wait for few days?
Can she get pregnant?
If that's the case, what are the steps we can take to avoid the pregnancy at this stage?
I'm sure this is too early for abortion, are there any oral pills she can take to stop the pregnancy?

Please help.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kvn,

Lets figure out the periods, when they were due.

February 22.  You had sex on day 7 of this cycle.
March 24, she never had this period.
April 23, she hasn't had this one yet.

Yes she can get pregnant, yes take the home test.  There is no need to wait as her period is well past due.  Use her first morning urine, follow all directions carefully, especially any times.

False negatives are common testing early.  False positives ARE RARE.

At this point if she is pregnant then you can't avoid it.  Plan B is only good for 72 hours or so.  Get the test results before you continue with the unknown.

Post back with the results, good luck.

The "Accidental intercourse" headline is bogus. If you are wearing a condom, is anyone in their right mind going to believe that the intercourse was not intended? Who bothers with a condom if there aren't at least hoping for intercourse?
