I had an ACL reconstruction 3 weeks after a skiing accident. I also suffered a grade miniscal tear to my inner ligament which is mending on its own. I am now 6 weeks since surgery (patella graft) am still am unable to bend my leg more than 90 deg or straighten it fully. I am doing all my physio exercises with little improvement. Bending seems to be stopped by a pain in my ham string. I this normal - any ideas on what the problem could be?

That much restriction in movement 6 weeks after surgery is not unusual. It can take several months to regain the lost range of motion. Sometimes, as in my case, I never regained the lost range of motion. In fact arthritis set in and I have lost some more of what I had.
