You posted not long ago, I'm trying to sleep but I can't because my anus is contracting and it hurts, I have that skin ball that the original poster said and now it's really big and red and it hurts a lot thanks to the contractions. This is the 5th day after the LHP surgery and this past days were horrible and that's an understatement, the pain was unbearable, insane. Now I'm not that much in pain but the contractions make me revolt a few seconds. Help

Truer words have never been typed. These spams are the devil. I’m awaken out of my sleep with this sharp piercing pain. It’s intense and unforgiving. I’m on day three and have had several small BMs. It’s made the area more tender and sore. I’m dreading this upcoming night. I hope didn’t make a mistake with this surgery.

Thank you guys for posting. I felt so alone in this. I am a 45 yold male on day 7 after surgery. The spasms are so intense and last about an hour each. It is the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced. I wasn't ready for any of this. Had I known, I would have never done this. I was told that my bottom would hurt for a few days, not that I would be bed ridden in extreme pain for weeks. This has all been unbelievable.

Some tips. Start stool softeners right away. Milk of magnesium worked best for me and was gentle. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink protein vitamin shakes. TAKE THE PAIN PILLS! Don't wait. The stool softener and diet will prevent constipation. I didn't poop until day 5. It was horrible and does not get any better.

Keep your bottom clean. Rashes will set in quick. Sit in a bath after every bowel movement. If you use Epsom salt be sure to rinse it off thoroughly or it will chafe. Use prescription cream after every bath.

Good luck!
