I am curious to hear whether having anemia after taking Ultram is possible. My mom was prescribed Ultram for she was diagnosed with osteoarthritis she is been suffering for years now and her joints have lost their natural form already. Anyway she was taking Ultram for about 6 months just to relieve the pain but she stopped taking it after she started having serious side effects including serious headaches accompanied with dizziness and nausea followed with vomiting and she also had seizures and I think that anemia also was caused by taking Ultram. Besides she always had perfect blood test results but the latest blood test showed anemia so can somebody tell me if anemia after taking Ultram is common and what she is suppose to do now about this? Thanks!

Those symptoms you have mentioned are serious Ultram side effects that may lead to some more serious complications. Anyway one of the ULtram side effects is loss of appetite which commonly results in anemia-so it is very possible your mom got this anemia condition after taking Ultram and at first place it may cause loss of the vitamin B complex which again may trigger some other serious health condition so I advice your mom go see a doc again in order to get proper diet schedule that would help her treating this anemia caused by taking Ultram and also if anemia is not treated it could easily worsen your mom's osteoarthritis condition.
