Hey everyone, I need your help. I have a long history of depression and anxiety, and was on a couple different medications when I was younger such as Welbutren. I also was diagnosed with add as a child and have been on ridilen(sorry if spelled wrong) and Adderrall in the past. I never liked the effects of any of the mentioned drugs, though I was a teenager when I was taking them. I am now 25, and have been taking Adipex for about 3 months for weight loss after the birth of my second child. The reason for the post is this...I gave up a long time ago on the idea of a prescription drug being able to make me feel "normal" or better, until I started taking Adipex. When I first started taking it I actually thought that it wasn't working and there was something wrong because I had read so many things about people experiencing serious headaches and insomnia and especially too much energy or speedyness, and I didn't experience any of this. I did however start to notice the unexpected positive effects that it was having. I have so much energy, but not too much. I am focused and able to wake up in the morning and go about my day actually accomplishing things with a smile on my face. My moods are much more leveled out and I am just in a great positive mood. I have found myself thinking often that the way I feel now was the way I always wished that there was an antidepressant out there to make me feel. In short, I am asking for any ideas on an actual antidressent, or something similar, that will be able to give me the same help of energy, being able to wake up in the morning, focus, drive, and a positive feelings that I am getting from adipex since I can't take that forever. I read another post on here about concerta and am thinking that it might be worth looking into but I would really appreciate any knowledge and experience that you can offer thanks.
P.S. I am NOT looking for something just to lose weight because I have already accomplished that, but if that is a side affect it wouldn't bother me.
