Hi all,
I'm a 22 year old female with Spina Bifida. I just recently started having sex with my boyfriend, and I've noticed that when I reach orgasm, that my cum smells like the faint smell of urine :$ . I don't have control of my bladder, and I try and empty my bladder before we make love, but everytime I seem to orgasm it still smells. I'm assuming that this is not normal??

Also, if female that replies to this that has a disability, can I ask what other types of sexual positions you use? We normally just stick to the missionary style, but are getting bored with that. We have also tried me on top, but because I don't have much strength, it doesn't work well, and he seems to slip out of me easier :-(

I have Spina Bifida and kyphoscoliosis...I'm 42 yrs old and I have had 3 long term relationships and what you are describing is normal. with women especially like me I have a neurogenic bladder and it's hard for me to tell when my bladder is faking being urgent or for real...so even if I use the bathroom before it lessens the problem but when you have a orgasm that gushing happens to alot of women and men love it...I personally hate it because I don't like the wetness everywhere but there is no way to control it. And it could be the pressure on the bladder mixing in some urine but I have read that it's hard to tell with women what it is. But you are not alone and it isn't abnormal. As far as other positions...I do have a problem sometimes with him falling out of me because I don't have the pelvic muscles to hold him in on top...so from behind(not in the behind, lol) but that way seems to work the best for me with my body issues...i'm very short stature and the guys aren't so there just all kinds of positions that don't work due to various birth defects but try it from behind...my best orgasms have been that way:-)

I am 26 and I also have Spina Bifida. I think what you are experiencing is Female Ejaculation/Squirting. The same thing happens to me. I will end up with a huge puddle around me every time I orgasm. Most guys love it, but it can be really inconvenient. I'm starting to wonder if we are able to squirt more than other non-disabled women, because we lack the muscle function to hold back.  I've learned to place a towel or 2 down first...and recently purchased a mattress pad to protect my bed.

Wow soo happy to know im not the only 1 w/ this problem!! Ima 32 yr old female w/ spina bifida and ive always had that issue but never knew it happened to anyone else as i dont know anyone else w/ spina bifida to be able to ask or talk bout it with. Its been hugely embarrassing for me especially before i knew anything about 'squirting' and that it can be easily mistaken for that. Luckily most guys ive been w/ seemed to believe my excuse that its just female ejaculate cuz they did "such a good job" of getting me excited lol....unfortunately more thsn a few times thst wasnt the case and needless to.say we never saw each other again x ...seems a lot of em just cant comprehend it cuz they have no idea what its like to be in our sitution w/ our issues. When u mention bladder control issues their 85 yr old grandmom that wears depends (yes i have to wear them too x) is the only thing that they think of. Ugh! So anyways, on one hand sorry u gotta deal w/ that kinda stuff too but it is nice to know were not alone at least!

Hi,

I am 22 and new to this site and don't know if you will see this or not the post is old.

I have spina bifida and it affects my lower left leg and I haven't had any diagnosed issues with my bladder even though my tumor is in "prime location" to affect it along with everything else below the belt.

I have never spoken with anyone else who has spina bifida.

I have done the same thing though, not every time, and not even at the same time as an orgasm. I am not convinced that it is associated with the spina bifida but it could be I suppose. It startles me because it always feels like an orgasm and the last time it happened with a new partner I jumped up and went to the bathroom to freak out, and I couldn't even finish because I was so put off by myself.

Best of luck.

I am 47 year old woman who was born with Spina Bifida, and I have NEVER had an orgasm! I was told I couldn't. I know I have some feeling I believe, maybe the G-spot. I've only experienced weird sensations as I am standing up or changing my urostomy. But I have NO feeling in my vagina nor around the clitoris. Closest area is the pubic area. Can someone who has Spinabifida help me?? I want to have one so bad! :(. I've been married for 21 years to an awesome able bodied man. But he doesn't know how to help me... And Although I love him very very much, I'm tired of him having all the fun. Please help!! ;(
