I was perscribed citalopram a few years ago but found they did nothing for me. I had anxiety rather than depression. However, the anxiety has worsened and the doctor has now perscribed me ESCITALOPRAM. Having done some reseach on the net, I have found that there is no significant advantage in takng this new drug if citalopram did not work for me before. Can anyone advise me please. The doctor also said that escitolpram was a very expensive drug but why perscribe it if it is do different
