Hi

I have been getting sharp pains in both kidneys with back pain for the last 5 months.  I have been to my doctor and had blood test, urine test and mri scan which all came back clear so have not been able to find a diagnosis for what is causing me the pain.  The pain does ease when I take painkillers but I am worried about the cause.

At the beginning of the year I was catheterized due to water retention and ended up with a bad uti which was found to be e coli . It took 3 lots of antibiotics to get rid of the infection.  I am under a lot of stress/anxiety at the moment due to mental health issues could this be causing my pain??.  I just want to find out what is causing this pain as the doctors can not shed any light on this.
