Hello, I have been taking lopressor for 25 years for heart palpatations, and had no problems. Two years ago I had a lap band installed and lost 100 lbs. Last year I had two fainting episodes, and a cardiologist has determined the cause of that to be that the lopressor had lowered my bloodpressure so low and took me off of it. I am now overcome with anxiety, which may have been original cause of my palpitations in the first place. I now have palpitations, shaking and stomach spasms which are unbearable. I need to know what beta blocker does not lower blood pressure. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

the answer is a lower does of beta blocker. Try lopressor, propranolol etc at a lower dose.
