Hi, I had an implant inserted 7 days ago and have not had sex yet. I was on birth control pills previously and changed a week into a new pack so the doctor told me to wait 7 days until I had sex without using a back up method. It also said this in the pamphlet. But I am still wondering if 7 days is really long enough to not use anything else like a condom from now on?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
