On Friday I went to the gyno, I didn't experience any bleeding then but since I've had experiences with bleeding after going to the gyno in the past my boyfriend and I waited a day to have sex. We had sex on Sunday morning & I started bleeding. It is fairly heavy and I'm wondering if it's possible that it's sparked my period, which normally would have started late next week. I did have an abnormal pap a year and a half ago & I know that inflamation of the cervix can cause bleeding...I'm just wondering if I need to let the doctor know what's up or what...

What did your exam show this time you went to the gyno? Has this cervix inflammation cleared? If it has, then you shouldn’t be experiencing any bleeding.
If you haven’t been given any hormones, none of the gynecologists’ exams should have provoked your period. However, it is quite possible that a gyno made a small cut inside your vagina and that this provoked the bleeding. What kind of tests did you have? Have you been found anything abnormal that could have provoked the bleeding, like more inflamed cells or a polyp on the cervix or anything?
Has the bleeding stopped by now? When is your next appointment? Were there any other symptoms present like vaginal discharge?
