Since Saturday morning I have noticed light bleeding, all day, every day since then. It is now Wednesday and I am starting to worry. I have been on the same birth control pill for about 4 and a half years now and take it at the same time every day without fail. This has never happened to me before. I don't have any cramps or any of my usual symptoms of period and the bleeding is not heavy enough to need more than a panty liner. I am due to get my period this coming Monday. Any ideas? I have my annual OBGYN appointment scheduled for the 17th, should I wait that long to talk to my doctor?

Period symptoms  are similar to pregnancy symptoms. But also, this can be caused by birth control pills. Tell me, have you ever asked your doctor about this, can you take them?

I know that a lot of girls are taking them on their own hand, before consulting anyone and they usually chose the wrong pills.

I think that you should take a pregnancy test and I believe that a lot of your doubts will be solved.

This is the only way to find out are you dealing with pregnancy, period or birth control pills are causing this condition for you.

Birth control pills can easily cause side - effects and one of the side - effects can be bleeding. Pills can be accidental and I never wanted to take them. Condoms are a better option than this for me.

So, you don't have any period symptoms? Well, this also doesn't have to mean anything. I was bleeding two months in a row before my period, but when I told this to my gynecologist he told me that this is kind of discharge and that maybe I am a little bit cold, so I am bleeding because of this.

Who knows what the main reason is.
