I had neck surgery on c4-5 and c5-6 discetomy. I also had 2 bone spurs removed. I had originally tried injections no luck at all. My neck surg was 3/2007 and everything was great at first however now it's 5 months later and i am having SEVERE pain. The dr put in screws cage etc he also put in some special graff stuff because I smoke. I have cadiver bone as well.
My dr kept me out of work for 4 months,and sent me back with a 5 pound weight limit-however my work couldn't take me back with that limit.So I was out of work longer, I currently have a 20 pound limit. I can't take the pain. My Dr has sent me physical therapy. but i have numbness and tingling down my entire spine into my feet.My hands and arms go numb,andI can't sleep at all. I went to a great dr a Neuro spine dr. I don't recommend surgery. I had less pain before I started.
