I don’t know where you come from but different countries have labels on Seroquel’s link to diabetes. Japanese have it that is for sure but Americans may not have this link on the drug’s label making both doctors and patients unaware of the link between the Seroquel and diabetes.
Patients who are taking Seroquel and are at risk of developing diabetes should be frequently monitored for diabetes, having their blood sugar checked regularly. If you had family history of diabetes, other medical problems, were obese, had problems with blood pressure and cholesterol, you belong to a diabetes risk group and should have been questioned for safety by using this drug.
Considering that diabetes developed only two months after taking the drug, I would say that your diabetes was already on the way. Have you been checking your general health, sugar levels prior to starting Seroquel. Have you had any problems before?
If diabetes was diagnosed just two months after starting the drug, I would say that the drug might have accelerated the process.
