I am in the done same situation. At birth it was noticed that one of his testes was 'swollen' but we were discharged without much further investigation. We then pestered the hospital and got a follow-up appt where they did a hormone test. The result came back low, confirming no viable testes. He is now a healthy, happy 8 year old who is aware that he is going to need to have some implants but, at present, is unaware that he is going to be unable to father is own children. We are dreading the hormone therapy and the changes to his characteristics it will bring. We have not shared this with our friends and only close family as we don't want people to look at him differently. Although due to children changing for swimming in shared cubicles observations have been made.

Hi Guys,

My name is Nick Wuthrich, and I am a 32 year old eunuch. I know what it's like to grow up with this condition, and it's not an easy path.

The most important thing is to let your child know as early as possible so that they can learn to accept and live with the condition. With current treatments, your children will still be able to function sexually and climax, just as normal adult males would. And with testosterone therapy administered properly during puberty, they should achieve normal size, too. Testicular implants are readily available, as well.

The hardest part for me was not having anyone with my condition that I could look up to. That's what drove me into the entertainment industry - I wanted to inspire others. I am a comedian and talk about my condition on stage.

I was operated on four times in five years aged 10-14 to bring down my testicles.

Each op was painful and embarrassing, but now approaching 60 I can tell you that although I was 'a late developer' I have had a great sex life.

I could never father children, though.

No woman has ever found my condition a problem in the mechanical sense, but for me there is some numbness which means it sometimes takes longer to orgasm, but this can also be an advantage.

hi guys, I can feel for you.
My wife and I had a boy in 2011 with double torsion. Yes he has no testicles now. His voice is higher piched that friends.
The endocronoligists originally said he will need hormone treatment at age 8 or 9, not so late as ten.
The boys are good, we are all blessed.

Don't worry about it. I'm 25 and I have one testicle, getting an implant put in this year. Wait for your boy to get older then get an implant so he feels normal, I should've got an implant years ago.

Hello!
Question for you. When did you start hormone therapy? I have an almost 11 year old and am trying to figure out the best path for him.
We in no way at all see this as a negative aspect in his life. He is wonderful and whole and completely adored. I'm just noticing his growth has slowed down and his hair is changing.
Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm a 40 year old who lost both testicle's to cancer so although I was born with both I would like to help anyone experiencing similar and offer support where I can.

Best wishes
