I was wondering, since you can get chlamydia by having oral sex; If you pee in a cup and you do find out that you have chlamydia in your genitals, does it show that you have also chlamydia in you throat?
And if you do have chlamydia and you take pills for it, does all of the chlamydia go away or just in your genitals???
Chlamydia is a bacterial infection. The bacteria get into your body, usually through mucous membranes, and cause the infection.
The infection can spread beyond the genitals. In addition to the throat and rectum, you can also get chlamydia in your eyes and skin lesions.
You would be prescribed antibiotics to treat Chlamydia by your doctor. These would treat the entire infection, not just in your genitals.
Hope it helps.
