Following a walk on a 82 degree day , which later soared up to 91 degrees--my husband broke into a profuse sweat from his head and his forehead was ice cold----he is on four psychiatric medications, low dosages and monitored regularly for them--clozaril, anafranil, abilify and klonopin-----I always carry water administered water to him and he kept wiping the sweat away with his bandana which subsided after about five minutes----we were waiting for a bus that did not show up to make another connection and had to walk to our next connection which is about a twenty minute walk for a dental emergency since we have no car--I am concerned about this and have thus permitted him from any excessive activity above 70 degrees ------I feel bad for him because he likes to keep active but am afraid he might have heatstroke or exhaustion---any suggestions??--also can a jump in the pool when sweating prevent the two prior conditions from occurring--------???????????????
