Concussion is the least serious and the most common type of brain injury caused by trauma. It may cause transient memory loss. The mildest grade of concussion involves only confusion and the 2nd grade involves amnesia that lasts less than 5 minutes. Concussion symptoms like headaches, dizziness, sound and light sensitivity, memory and attention problems may last 4-6 weeks more, sometimes even longer but usually go on their own. The best therapy is rest and physical therapy.

Hi there,
You have to know that concussion is a traumatic injury of the brain. There are many consequences of brain concussion and some are not that severe while others can be troubling. For instance you will have bad headaches. You may also experience problems with memory and in most cases people do not remember the moment of the concussion, because this affects their memory. Also in some cases you will have problems with judgment of things, which might be a big problem in some cases. Does your sister have any of these symptoms? What did her doctor say about this? I hope that this helped in any way.

All the best
