Ok, I got my implant placed a month ago. Maybe a couple days less than that. Obviously you have to be on your period to have said implant placed. When I had it placed I was almost the full week into my period. I'm still bleeding and yesterday I started clotting alot. I actually bleed through a few super plus tampons in less than 30 minutes. I haven't had any children yet and the implant was more of a last resort birth control choice that my OB thought was best for me. I have had two ultrasounds external and internal and all came back normal. As well as a blood test to make sure I was not pregnant nor did I have an infection. Does anyone else have this issue? Or had this issue? Will it go away?

Hallo! I'm also thinking about trying the Mirena Implant. I'm not an expert but I read somewhere that irregular bleeding is common in the first few months after insertion, with the average user reporting 16 days of bleeding or spotting in the first month of use, but this diminishes to about four days at 12 months. One of my friends was on it for a while but she started to get awful stomach cramps and she never had cramps before. She always had a real easy menstrual cycle, but when she got on the mirena they were unbearable so she got off it immediately. On the other hand my sister got it back in September and she love it! She only had cramping and spotting for a couple weeks. I guess everyone's body responds differently. I also read all the paperwork on it and it's more effective than a vasectomy! But if you bleed through a few super plus tampons in less than 30 minutes you should talk to your doctor to see if there's something wrong with the implant etc. I hope this will help you and you'll get better soon.
